The 'Rag Bag' recycling scheme has been developed to provide regular fundraising for schools in the UK.

The scheme increases awareness about textile recycling and by increasing recycling rates we can help the environment by ensuring less material goes to landfill.

The scheme is completely FREE, and your school will be paid for every kg recycled. You can raise hundreds of pounds with every collection made!

More About Us

"We have been involved with Rag Bag since 2007 and have found it an excellent way to raise funds to buy resources which have enhanced the children's learning. To date the money has helped us buy various equipment such as Adventure Playground, Eco Work, SMARTBOARDS, Books, Games, Educational Trips and much more." We have always found the staff very helpful and collections are generally prompt."

“St Cleer F.U.M. has been using the Rag Bag scheme for quite a while now and we use the funds to help people in Tanzania, East Africa. I think it is an amazing way for folk in this country to support charities even though they may be full time workers or elderly and unable to give time, they can do their bit by donating their unwanted clothing. Whoever thought of it should be proud of themselves. I have been in markets in Africa when a lorry has arrived with the bundles and it is wonderful to see the joy it brings to everyone. The crew over here that arrange our collections are lovely and I see them as buddies, they are as good as gold.”

“We have been collecting Rag Bags for the last few years and are delighted to also have a rag bin in our playground. These regular collections have raised valuable money for our school. Many items have been purchased but probably the most memorable things for the children were the decorations we bought to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We celebrated with a big picnic after Sports Day and thanks to our Rag Bag money, our playground was festooned in red, white and blue bunting and balloons. Each time our bin is emptied we have in excess of £100.00. This is always a wonderful added extra to our school budget.”
Jacqui Gill, School Administrator, Fishermoss School
“Wycombe High School implemented the Rag Bag Scheme in 2010. Since then we have raised £1,665.50 for the school development fund. Rag Bag is an easy way to raise money involving the entire school community including parents, students and staff and their friends, family and neighbours. We highly recommend every school, society and club to participate”
