Schools will be paid between £200 and £300 per tonne of textiles collected |

An introductory letter about the “Rag Bag” School Recycling Scheme and registration details will be sent to individual schools – the letter will be sent by Gayle Martin the “Rag Bag” Recycling Officer or the Recycling Officer/Waste Education Officer/Waste Awareness Officer from the Local Authority. |

The more you collect, the more funds you raise for your school!!! |

Schools can register easily on-line via the “Rag Bag” website or by faxing, e-mailing or posting the registration form to Gayle Martin. |

All schools big or small can arrange a factory visit! |
|
|
|
|
|
Schools interested in participating in the scheme will receive a “Welcome” pack with details of the collection process, posters to display around the school and bags to go home to parents or guardians. |

|
Collections will take place throughout the school day (drivers are aware of break & lunch times). Bags of textiles will be counted and weighed on school premises (if the collection is very large, it may be weighed back at the factory). |

After a collection, participating schools will receive a “Thank You” letter and a “Congratulations” certificate detailing the quantity of bags collected/amount of money raised and of course a cheque!!! |
