Rag Bag is an initiative to raise funds for charity by recycling textiles and shoes.
The Rag Bag Textile Recycling Initiative started in September 2006 to raise awareness about textile recycling in Schools. The main aims of the scheme are to increase recycling rates, help the environment, help local authorities meet their challenging recycling targets and raise school funds.
The initiative has been extremely successful, raising over £200,000 for schools by collecting hundreds of tonnes of unwanted textiles.
The scheme has been so successful that we are now working in partnership with leading charities to promote a Rag Bag House Collection Initiative.
Textiles clothing and shoes are collected directly from your door, recycled and funds raised for charity.
We collect and recycle all textiles clothing and shoes. Everything we collect will be reused and recycled here in the UK.
